Rooted in Light Reiki

About Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing art that goes beyond energy healing. It serves as a guide to living a whole and balanced experience in our bodies.
The Reiki precepts, as taught by Sensei Mikao Usui who founded the practice of Reiki, are a set of principles, or mantras, that guide us into presence in our mind and body. They go like this:
Just for Today:
-
I will not anger
-
I will not worry
-
I will do my work with honesty and devotion
-
I will be kind to my neighbor and all living things
-
I will give thanks for my many blessings
This set of guide posts are like a compass that point us into the direction of presence, and what is within our own control. If I am spiraling into worry, I can re-evaluate the source of what I am feeling and reconsider reacting in ways that create more worry, recognizing that worry is often a symptom of fearing something that has not yet happened, or may never happen.. Reminding myself "not to worry" is an offering to allow myself to come into presence and center myself.
The practice of Reiki has a profound effect on the nervous system and support for the whole body. The word Reiki translates to “Universal Life Force” or “Universal Life Energy,” the unseen energy that flows through all living things. To me, Reiki is not just a practice, it’s an inherent part of nature; guiding the wind through the trees, the breath in our lungs, and the flow of water. Our inherent well-being is to be in balance, just as the cycles of nature. Reiki is the energy that is already present within our body, and perhaps a key element in the foundation of life. Receiving Reiki is allowing the natural flow of energy that is ever-present to meet your own energy field within the body and regulate where it meets a blockage or fragmented pathways. As the energy within the body begins to regulate into its natural, original state, the nervous system receives the benefit of the regulation as does the body as a whole.

The Reiki Sessions
A Reiki session begins with your YES, your willingness and openness to the possibility of a more grounded experience in your body.
We start with a conversation to explore how you're feeling in your body and heart, and discuss any intentions you'd like to set for the session. Together, we’ll tune into what’s present and bring that into our work together.
The session takes place on a massage table, where you remain fully clothed and comfortable. Healing Light energy, guided by intuition and the natural flow of your energy, moves through my hands to your body. I may incorporate shamanic tools, such as a rattle or drum, and stones to further support the clearing and movement of energy. Reiki is deeply nourishing for the nervous system. Each person's experience is unique and personal, and it is not uncommon for the recipient to fall into a restful and nourishing nap during a session. The session is completed with a soothing sound bath to send you back out into the world feeling renewed and supported.
Support will be offered through integration resources so that you may receive the fullest benefit from your experience.

About Me
I’m Hollie, and I’m so glad you’re here. Reiki has been a guiding force in my life for over a decade, and it’s my passion to share this healing practice with others. My journey with Reiki began in the early 2000s, at a time when I wasn’t yet open to receiving its light. Like all true medicine, it returned when I needed it most, and over the next few years, it became the foundation of my personal healing.
In 2012 I completed my Reiki Master training and since then, I’ve had the privilege of offering Reiki to both people and animals, witnessing its profound ability to bring balance and peace.
In addition to my Reiki training, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India, in 2015, and have had the joy of sharing Reiki in group settings in Restorative and Yin Yoga classes. I received my Stone Medicine Practitioner certification through Upper Clarity School f Stone Medicine in 2024, and I am a current student of Moving Mountain Institute's Craniosacral Therapy training program.
I am a humble student to the wisdom and teachings of plants, crystals, and the unconditional love of Mother Earth.
I am honored be part of your healing journey.
